Brilliant sequel

Sequel to The Fix-it Girl

After the birth of their daughter, Tegan, Elise Ridge agreed to a marriage in name only with her beloved wife, Jill. Elise had screwed up. Their estrangement wasn't what she wanted. She thought she could handle it, hoping against hope, that one day they would be able to repair their marriage and go back to the way things were in the beginning. Three long years later and it was beginning to look as though their marriage was over.

When Megan Dutton, Elise's lover from twenty years ago suddenly turns up, Elise begins to question whether she should remain in a loveless relationship. Reluctantly, Elise makes the decision to move on. She loves Jill with all her heart, but she needs more, she needs a proper loving relationship.

Jill is still madly in love with Elise. She is questioning her own decision of the `in name only' relationship. She can feel herself and Elise drifting further and further apart. Will Jill leave it too late to salvage their marriage?

Jill has to swallow her pride and reach out to Elise, she knows this. But doing it is harder than she expected. When Jill finally plucks up the courage to approach Elise, what will Elise's reaction be this late in the game?

Two people, soulmates, have allowed outside influences to derail their love for one another. The questions are, will they continue drifting, is their love strong enough to make it a second time round, or will they call it quits?

This is the much anticipated, long awaited sequel to The Fix-it Girl. It's here we learn of the outcome of Jill and Elise's, `in name only' pact.

As always, with previous JM Dragon books, I was pulled into the story right from the very first page and enthralled with the story right through to the last page. The story flows along at a nice pace. The scenic descriptions allowed me to lose myself in the story with the characters, to actually be amongst them as the story unfolds. Living the story, rather than reading it.

Both Elise and Jill are multidimensional characters, they are as different as night and day, but they are made for one another. Both women are so in love, the heat radiates from the page. Pride got in the way of their love and that pride has to be swallowed. It's here we find out if it is swallowed and the choices that are made.

These characters are the same as those from The Fix-it Girl. Each and every one is essential in the progression of the story. There are emotional highs and lows throughout, written so that the reader can feel the angst or happiness. There is also a tender sweet romance, spiced up with some rather hot sex scenes.

Although this book concluded, I feel these characters have a lot more to say. It would be absolutely brilliant if JM Dragon wrote another book with Elise and Jill and their family. If any of you have read the Destiny series by JM Dragon, you will know that these characters are very much on a par with Catherine and Jace. Two wonderful characters that have stood the test of time. So, the more books, the merrier for me.

I eagerly look forward to another book from JM Dragon soon.

A nice read although a little angsty and unbelievable in places. Still a nice book to pass the time away. I have read other books by JM Dragon, but I don't think that this is her best.

Live, laugh, love...

I feel like a glutton. I started reading In Name Only and couldn't stop. Wow. It was steamy, emotive, funny, and all around very satisfying. I loved Tegan's antics and really enjoyed getting into the heads of the secondary characters. It was good to see some of Anna's and Nina's motivations for their actions. It gave them depth. Very well written and well edited. The book seemed more true to life and less like so many of the atypical romances out there. In the first book, The Fix It Girl, Jill and Elise were well established as strong characters who would fight for what they believe in...and that includes love. So I was okay with the ending of that book, believing they would find a way to get back together. But I was very happy to see this sequel come along so I was no longer left to rely upon my imagination. JM tied up the ends enough with In Name Only that readers will be satisfied with how the story ended, but it's also open enough that we could hope for more. That's a hard balance to achieve, but the author did it well. I give it two thumbs up and look forward to seeing what JM Dragon's next book will be.

Definitely worth the read

I have always loved basically any kind of books that have a Greek mythological influence, and so over the years I must have read dozens by now – but I’d have to say that Erin Kinsella’s “Olympian Confessions” would certainly be in my top 3, and that’s saying a lot considering I, admittedly, can be quite critical toward the genre sometimes. I am always afraid of giving away spoilers in reviews, but I will end this saying that the book is a must-read for anyone looking for an Olympian tale that is expressed through a vivid, visually-rich writing style that compliments the complex structure of the plot perfect.

As interesting as Greek Mythology can be with all of its various and detailed characters and the roles they played, there is something that the historical context lacks, and that’s personality.

Olympian Confessions brims over with the charisma and temperaments that you would expect from the gods who mythically walked the earth while we were but an audience to their glorious and thundering interactions. A compelling new take on Hades and Persephone love story!

This is a like a breath of fresh air! A love how the author develop a plot of Greek mythology in an entirely different level. It’s nice to see Hades as a protagonist instead of the usual “bad” God among his fellow Olympians. The character building is remarkable. Each character including minor ones were given the right introduction, that even if you don’t know much about Greek mythology, you’ll still be able to understand the story. This is not just a love story; it has heart-pumping action and unexpected twists that will surely keep you glued to your seats. Highly recommended!

Not a pretty, feel good Bible study.

Donna Gaines doesn't mess around with Bible study. You will flip back and forth and all over the Word of God. The video that goes with this workbook is very intense and completely packed with scripture. She doesn't tell a lot of stories or funny anecdotes. She is 100% in scripture. If you can keep up with that, you will love this study.
