This book is totally AMAZING! I am not even a home-schooling mom, but this book can be applied to ANYONE! YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!

Not for anyone who has a less than normal life!

I like a few books from titus2 ministries, but this is a fail. I regret wasting my money on it and because it was a few days out of their 30 day return policy, the maxwells would not let me return it, also warning me that they will examine closely the book and nickel and dime me for any imperfections. They love money. Anyway! This book sucks. I'll save you 25.00 and tell you how to set up the schedule- make a table in Microsoft word. Make enough rows to segment the day into half hour increments, and enough columns to put each persons name at the top. For each column under child A start making that child's schedule. Then, do the same thing for child b, c, etc. when you see conflicts in timing, adjust the schedule. Some activities you will all be doing together. Print the schedule and hang it up.
The big issue I have with this book is 95% of it is plugging her other materials, along with letters from women telling her how MOH is awesome. I DO NOT CARE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE think about MOH according to the Maxwells. Of course they aren't going to put negative feedback in their book. Why would I want to read censored reviews anyway? Why am I paying $25 to do so? When not reading glowing reviews and Teri's advertisements for other products, you'll read about scheduling. Um. Really. just tell me how to make the schedule already! So, finally at the end, most of which most people will just skip to, she tells you how to micromanage everyone's day. The only positive to this that I took home was to schedule time for things you wish you'd always do. Like sewing. A half hour is better than nothing. Or actually setting aside a half hour to spend with just one child. Setting the schedule up helps you to see that you really can get a ton accomplished daily.
The scheduling kit is bogus, who on earth would cut out hundred of tiny squares? How about stop being so cheap and include mini post its? Sheesh. I feel like I got totally ripped off and regretted not purchasing this used on eBay. The scheduling kit is not needed and this book, even with scheduling kit should be $10. Also, this schedule would be ridiculous to tend to every day. For one, what household is going to be so strict about every half hour falling into this allotted time and would you really want to be in such a home? This book is not for people who don't have cookie cutter lives. We are a military family and my husbands schedule is crazy. I also have some health problems and we are a one vehicle family at the moment, so unless you can book every appointment at a certain time each day, like your doctor will be like yes, let me move all my other appointments to fit you in....then you are doomed. Don't let the maxwells feel like you are a failure for not adhering to such a strict schedule. Jesus hardly had a schedule. One of the maxwells told me in an email "if God led you to buy this book, you can be sure he wants you to implement it (and not return it)." Um, right, it has nothing to do with your love of money. Riiiiiiiggghhhttt. lol

Great resource for ANY parent!

I did not buy this on Amazon but bought it years ago and wanted to leave a review. I love this book. I have ADD and homeschool 5 kids and the idea of this books is perfect for me. But it's like AA ... it works if you work it. Which I didn't work it. I set up all the plans and then stopped doing it. And things got chaotic. Now that my kids are ages 6-15, it's time to break this book out again and read it and do the planning again. The only problem for us is that every day is pretty different so it's hard to do a schedule. I couldn't do this system when I had nursing babies because I attachment parent and so naps/feedings depended on the kid, not a schedule, and I never put them down to sleep. Anyway ... now that they are not napping and all get up around the same time every day (staggered depending on age), I'm going to give this a shot again. I think it's a great resource for any parent!
